Friday evening's activities will include a visit to the first location on Brian Smith's list... Graham Park, in North Greenville.

Formerly known as Beatts Park, Brian's interest in this location was based on various rumored reports of an alleged spectre that could be seen, walking the park after midnight, dragging a headless body behind it.  Legends persist that the apparition in question had beheaded a man in the park, and was attempt to drag the body to his car, when local police arrived on scene and engaged in a firefight.  The result was that the murderer was killed in that very park, from a barrage of gunfire.  As for the validity of this story... well, that isn't really known.  And that is exactly what Brian came to this place to find out.  The theory was that this horrible incident, from many, many years ago, replayed itself again and again, leaving the man in question trapped in the moment of his death for the rest of eternity.

As with any investigation into the paranormal, Brian made a point of coming prepared.  That is to say that he was prepared to capture Electronic Voice Phenomenon recordings, Paranormal Photography, and he always documented each location with a thorough list of pictures.  Rumor has it that he even carried a bag of Epsom Salt with him, just in case he ever were to encounter an unfriendly spirit.  Whether he truly believed in the existence of the afterlife, however, is another question entirely.

To thoroughly follow in Brian's footsteps, you will arrive at Graham Park, located at 800 Walnut, in Greenville, promptly at 9:00pm.  Sunset will occur at 7:05pm, and there will be very little moonlight tonight, as well.  The purpose of tonight's excursion will be to conduct your own paranormal investigation of Graham Park, in an attempt to discover any validity in regard to the local legend... and of course, to locate your next clue.  I would advise you not to be late, as the other participants, and their friends, will undoubtedly attend as well.  Should a clue be found, it will belong solely to the participant who first discovers it.  This means that its contents will be theirs alone to investigate, and they alone will decide whether or not to share what they have found with the other participants.  Any fighting over the clue will not be tolerated... and the park closes at 10:30pm, so the investigation will be forced to end at that time.

Further Instructions:

You are encouraged to bring cameras, both to document the occasion, as well as for any Paranormal Photography.  Also, you are encouraged to bring any audio recording devices that you may have, to attempt to capture EVP from the location.

I would ask that any photographs taken, be e-mailed to myself at t.r.treats@gmail.com.  There, I will compile them and create a MySpace Photo Album, that will house photos of each location you've visited.

Directions have been included, to aid you in locating Graham Park.

Perhaps those of you who were present for this evening's excursion would like to share your experiences with the rest of the class.

Suffice it to say, both clues were discovered during last night's investigation of Graham Park.
Yes... two clues.

Both were CD-ROMs, with a large "X" on the case.  Both also contained two files.

Disk 1's Contents
10301996.jpg
Filtered EVP.wav

Disk 2's Contents
Message.txt
video.avi

Both disks were located on opposite sides of the park, in locations one typically would not look.  The fact that they were found at all, says a great deal as to the devotion of those participating.  For that, I applaud you.

It was... amusing, to say the least, to see so many individuals using cellular phones for flashlights, as they searched the seemingly endless stretch of park, without having so much as a clue as to what they were looking for.  I must offer my congratulations, though.  It truly was a testament to the bravery of those who journeyed out... especially on a night when there was no moon.

As for the paranormal investigation itself, I am still awaiting any photos that any of you may have taken... thus far, there has only been two pictures submitted to my e-mail, from Katelyn.  These two pictures, I admit, show very abnormal orb phenomenon.

You'll notice in both that there are a significant number of orbs, that cannot be explained by dust in the air, or a nearby light source...  there were no park lamps nearby when the pictures were taken.  The brightly-lit orbs on the right side of the first picture were not street lights... not from that angle.

It would seem as though there were other things out last night, aside from those of you participating.  I can only imagine what an EVP recording might have captured.  I would be interested in hearing from each of you, posting here and sharing your stories with the others.  Even if your excursion was not as bountiful as that of others... I'm sure it was interesting.
